Snow storm
Not an ordinary storm last night but a snowstorm. It was raging, we were shaking in the roof tent with the howling storm against the tent canvas. The tents on the ground were flapping at full speed. Oko first fled into the LandRover during the night and later she crawled to Nico and Marijke, numb. It’s getting light and look, it’s very beautiful. But the cold storm still cuts through everything. I stay in my sleeping bag and under a blanket the longest and get a cookie for breakfast. Then just go out and the tea is ready. It is indeed a well-organized trip, which is nice.
Dirk looks under the hood and the carburetor is frozen. The country is covered in snow and it is storming. We decide not to leave today because we can’t see all the holes and bumps and holes.
We walk to the nearest ger. About 2 kilometers and we receive a very warm welcome there. Get hot tea and a delicious meal. We warm up and sit comfortably together. More family comes by and Dirk gives the men a cigar. They think it’s special, but we don’t know whether they really like it. A man then rolls his own coin.
We walk back and the sun comes out. First take shelter from the wind in the awning, but later rest in the sun.
Dirk is preparing the Ford for tomorrow and we are packing as much as possible because when the storm subsides we will continue tomorrow.
