Benno takes a refreshing morning dive and then we can get back on the road again.
We have a lot of bad parts, lots of loose and mul sand and lots of river crossings. Wonderful to film, but unfortunately for Trudy we have to do it occasionally. What a whopper, sandbuster!
In some places they are even working on roadworks. We had already heard of other aussies, but wild buffaloes live here. I’ve seen a lot of poop, but today we see them in real life too. At the end of the afternoon we are tired of the dirt road. We are almost at Borroloola and 27 kilometers before this town the asphalt shimmers towards us. What shall we do? Bush camping or stand on the caravan park? We decide to stand on the caravan park, so that we can rinse the dust from ourselves, our clothes and vehicles.
Here we are received very hospitable and can stay for free on the caravan park.
We set up our fleet at the edge of the park with a beautiful view of the bush.
We enjoy this place.
