We woke up in a completely deserted hotel in Wad Medani, we packed the cars swiftly because we had a breakfast with a minister of Sudan and his entourage. I think he was a bit tired from the diner we had with him the evening before because he overslept, no worries, we had to buy some groceries anyway.
Back from shopping
We had breakfast / lunch at a restaurant located along the Blue Nile. After that we went with a couple of cars to the home village of the minister where welcomed by his family.
We visited very old tomes just outside the village

, but after that it was time to go because we had a long drive, some 200km, to Al Qadarif. The landscape was beautiful, and we saw some amazing birds.

who came running out the bushes onto the street we reached Al Qadarif in a pouring rain
