Dirk is working in his office this morning. He ordered 4 new tires for the Model T. After that he prepares the Model T for the trip of today. The rest of us Skypes with Holland.
At 12.15 we leave towards the Glacier National Park. We have to drive through an impressive pass. The guy of the campground says goodbye with his vuvuzela.
Just before the pass the views are already very impressive. A few moments later we will drive along the snow which can be seen in the picture below.
After the climb the Model T needs a break. Af fuse is blown.
We can drive further and high in the mountains we drive along the snow we already have seen from afar.
During the drive we see a lot of oldtimer buses with tourists. On the top of the mountain we talk with one of the chauffeurs. He told us the buses are from 1937 and all 32 were reconditioned in 1998 using the shortened base of a Ford camper.
Just like in the Yellowstone National Park all campgrounds are full in the Glacier Park also. So we have to leave the Park again and drive to a campground just outside the park. We have a nice view on the mountains from there. Today we drove 173 kilometers.
Tomorrow we will pass the border to Canada and we will drive to Joan Bak, a friend of Dirk-jan.
