Wednesday 21 november
It rained a lot during the night.
When we wake up it is dry, so we pack our tent. After this it starts raining again.
Dirk puts on his raincoat and services the Ford.
Inge and Trudy make a lovely breakfast.
At 10.00 we leave, today we go to Cape St Francis, about 240km.
Dirk and Trudy put on their rain clothes, it rains very hard.
We ride through Port Elizabeth, a real big city. The wind is getting very strong, so we put the roof down, it moves to much.
The further we go to Cape St Francis, the better the weather.
On the road to the campsite we drive along the Indian Ocean, a wonderful view!
At 17.30 we arrive at the campsite.
We put our tents up and go for a beach walk.
Nearby the lighthouse the waves smashes to the rocks.
Today we drove 279 km.
Tomorrow we go to Plettenbergbaai.

Choosing a tent for camping is the first task for any camping trip. What type of weather conditions are you expecting? Always be prepared for the worst, rain, wind, and cold. There are three season and four season tents available. Four season tents are heavier than three season tents. They tend to have more poles than three season tents to help them withstand wind and snow fall. Of course, most of us are fair weather campers. A three season tent will be fine for us. So, now, what style of tent do you want?^
