Friday 09 November
During the night a group of wild dogs hunted a Kudu. They chased it trough the reception, you can still see the scratches on the floor.
They are still busy eating the corpse.
It’s a very nice game view, some elephant wants to chase the dogs away, it works for 3 minutes, and then they are back again. But he doesn’t give up.
Zazoe watches the scenery
Now this is a big head.
A picture for in the album..
A couple of days ago there was an elephant fight, one lost a piece of tusk, it is still at the reception, when you hold it it’s incredibly heavy.
After watching all this we brake our stuff and leave the campsite.
Dirk and Trudy still like the travelling!
We do a coffee brake under the Baobab.
At 15:00 we arrive in Francistown, it’s a very big busy city.
We discuss the timetable, it’s too early to stop now, we go further in the direction of Palapaye.
The temperature is low, in the Model T isn’t even cold. So you need the full Ford Tenue.
The Ford likes this low temperature, and runs very good. With the speed of 80 the engine still stays under the 100degrees.
At 18:15 we arrive in Palapaye, during the beer we calculate the distance of this day.
418km!!! That’s a new record!!
In the bar the speaker with the microphone recognise us, we get a drink for free.
Tonight it is karaoke night, and there is a Pool table in the bar. Wow what a beautiful end of the record day!
Tomorrow we go to do the Botswana-South Africa border
