Report 17th and 18th June

Tuesday 17th June
There must be worse places to wake up in the morning:
After a good breakfast it was time for our daily maintenance on the website and the Model-T.
The hotel’s owner called Bill, a member of the classic car club in Quito, our next destination. Bill came over to Otovalo, to pick us up and guide us to Quito.
On the road to Quito we passed by the equator.
In Quito, Bill brought us to a hotel where we could safely park the cars. Tomorrow we have a day off in Quito.
Wednesday 18th June
In the morning we brought the Landrover to a garage, to let them fix the handbrake. Instead of a bridge, they make holes in the ground to work on the cars.
The guys from the garage had a nice gift for Dirk, an Ecuadorian license plate.
While waiting for the Landrover, we watched the football game, Holland-Australia.
Of course the Dutch team won! For dinner we were invited by Bill, his wife and a friend.
They also gave us a city tour in Quito, a nice end of the day.
