After saying a warm and extensive farewell to Paul, we finally left Beijing for the border with Mongolia.
We are trying to cover as many kilometers as possible today to get to the border quickly on the last day and embrace our lovely ladies again
Along the way we saw the Chinese doing the strangest things to photograph us and/or video, for example driving at 120 km/h and then dropping anchor and then driving alongside at a
snail’s pace and watching us while we were there. the other traffic speeds past at 120km/h left and right, luckily everything went well without any problems.
What we noticed along the way is that many gas stations were closed so we could not refuel, fortunately we had taken enough fuel at the last fuel stop so that we did not run out of fuel.
After we left the last closed gas station behind us, I suddenly saw a wolf sitting on the road, unfortunately he took off too quickly for me to take a picture of it.
Not much later we arrived at the place for the last night in China where we filled all the jerry cans and refueled the Land Rover.
After this we drove to our hotel where we parked covered the T-Ford in a guarded parking lot of the hotel, after checking in we went to eat in a restaurant 3 steps away from the hotel, Dirk and Tony enjoyed the camel meat and lamb, I enjoyed sautéed eggplant with fresh vegetables.
