We are in Kenia, for us it’s the third country, for Dirk and Trudy the eleventh. We’re going to have a tough ride ahead of us, especially for the cars, the roads are terrible, extremely big holes, rocks and some kind of gravel washboard that shakes the cars almost into pieces. We have our first flat tire and because of the shaking a door lock of the Land Rover came loose. Both problems are quickly fixed and we arrive in a small town at the edge of the desert in a place called Turbi. We sleep in simple cabins next to the police station, the police men are very helpful in providing a guard for the night. After a few beers we go to bed, exhausted.
